Richard has over 16 years experience as a Financial Advisor. He earned an MBA from the University of New Haven in 1988 and gained his CFP¨ certification in 2005. He also has a B.A. in biology and chemistry from Central Connecticut State University. Prior to joining Raymond James, Richard held positions as Vice-president at both UBS Paine Webber and Janney Montgomery Scott. Before entering the financial planning industry, Richard served as a financial and long-range planner for AT&T (formerly Southern New England Telephone Company).

Since joining Richard's office as Office Manager in August 2005, Maria has become a Registered Financial Representative by earning both her Life/Accident/Health insurance license and her Financial Advisor's license. Prior to joining Raymond James, she provided marketing and development services to diverse organizations ranging from the Yale School of Music to Telco Systems Fiber Optics Corporation in Norwood, Massachusetts. Maria has a B.A. from Wellesley College and an M. Ed. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Kara Lucy joined the team as our Client Services Manager in February 2008. Although new to the financial industry, Kara has over 10 years experience in sales and service. She is currently studying for her Series 7 and other financial licenses and is looking forward to the challenge. As an Army "brat," Kara has traveled all over the world. She attended Webster University in Leiden, Holland, and University of Maryland in Ramstein, Germany before receiving her BA from Quinnipiac University in May of 2007.



Working for a better community
Richard, Maria and Kara are all deeply involved in volunteer activities that serve both the environmental and human services communities in the greater New Haven area and beyond. Richard serves on the boards of the Branford Land Trust, the Endangered Languages Fund, and is an Advisor to Columbus House in New Haven. He is an active member of the Branford Rotary Club. Maria is Chair of the Branford Counseling Center's Human Services Board and Chair of the Branford River Project. In addition, she annually walks 60 miles in three days to raise money for breast cancer research and outreach. Kara is very active in the Army's Adopt-a-Platoon program, providing support and comfort to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
