Financial planning is a dynamic process that is based on an
understanding of your current financial status, your long
range goals and your tolerance for market risk. It requires
the development of a plan that can adapt to your changing
needs and goals as well as the fluid economic environment
in which we all live.
We start with an introductory meeting during which we determine
what your financial goals are and how your assets are currently
allocated to meet your short, medium and long-term objectives.
At the same time, our initial interaction will hopefully
give you a chance to learn about our philosophy of asset
management, our collaborative approach and our desire to
provide on-going support to our clients.
Assuming you wish to continue the planning process, we
will present you with a preliminary investment framework
during our second meeting. We will discuss the various types
of investment vehicles we believe are most suitable for
you. We will also explain the various risks and costs associated with
each investment and how we work to minimize those challenges.
During a third meeting, we will refine our recommendations
based on your input and start by putting these recommendations
into place. You may want to begin making incremental
changes only; we will be happy to work at a pace that is
comfortable for you. If at any time, you do not feel at ease
with our recommendations or the reasons behind them, we
welcome your questions and your input.
As we work towards building your portfolio, on-going communication
is essential, but we tailor contact to your needs and expectations.
At the very least, we will provide semi-annual check-ups
to let you know how your portfolio is performing and to
find out if there are any changes you would like to see
implemented. And we are always reachable by phone, should
you ever have any questions or concerns. |
